Student Text Formatting

Students can change the font, size, style, and text color, but only when typing in an Open Answer question with the Rich Text Editor enabled.

The Rich Text Editor is enabled by default for Open Answer questions. If you use the default settings, students will automatically see a formatting toolbar when responding.

What Students Can Format

With the Rich Text Editor enabled, students can:

• Change font
• Change text size
• Change text color
• Use bold, italic, and underline

If you add an Open Answer question and keep the default settings, students will be able to format their responses.
