Why Isn’t the Eraser Working? |
The eraser tool only removes items created with the drawing tools. If the eraser does not seem to be working, you may be trying to erase something it cannot remove.
What the Eraser Can Remove
The eraser can remove anything created while Draw Mode is active, including:
pencil marks
highlighter strokes
freehand lines
straight lines
arrows
circles
squares
any other shapes drawn using the Draw tool
To erase, make sure the eraser is selected and click and drag across the drawing—similar to erasing on a chalkboard.
What the Eraser Cannot Remove
The eraser cannot delete items added using the editing tools. These must be deleted using the Select tool instead.
The eraser cannot remove:
Multiple Choice, Multiselect, or any other Question Type
Teacher Text
images or uploaded PDFs
These items need to be deleted manually.
How to Delete an Item (Not a Drawing)
If you want to delete a Question Type, Teacher Text, or any non-drawing element:
Make sure the Select tool (the arrow icon) is active.
If another tool is active, press Esc on your keyboard to return to the Select tool.
Click the item you want to delete.
Remove it by doing one of the following:
Press Delete on your keyboard, or
Select Edit in the top menu and choose Delete
Undoing a Mistake
If you remove something by accident:
Select the Undo arrow at the top of the screen, or
Select Edit, then Undo
