Since valuable student data is connected to each of your assignments, Classwork.com doesn't permit you to delete assignments. Instead, you can hide an assignment from your current view by archiving it.

How to Archive An Assignment

To archive assignments, start on your Home page and open the folder containing the activity.
Then click the Activity name to view its list of assignments.

From there:

• Check off any individual assignments you’d like to archive, or click Select all assignments at the top.

• Once your selections are made, click the Archive icon in the upper right corner.

• Confirm that you want to archive those assignments.

That’s it! You’ll have a clean workspace ready for the new school year.

How to Restore Archived Assignments

If you need to review last year’s work, you can easily access your archived assignments at any time.

• Click the worksheet title to open the Worksheet Detail screen.

• At the top, click the Archived link. This toggles your view to show only archived assignments.

From here, use the buttons on the right to Restore an assignment. This moves it back into your active view on the Worksheet Detail screen.

When you’re finished reviewing, click the Active link at the top to return to your regular assignment view. You’ll now see the restored assignment, including all student scores. You can re-archive it at any time once you’re done.

Update Google Classroom, Canvas and Schoology After Archiving

If you use Google Classroom, Canvas, or Schoology to deliver assignments, note that once an assignment is archived in Classwork.com, the original links shared to those systems will no longer work for students.

To continue using the same activities with your new classes or courses, you’ll need to create new assignments:

• For Canvas and Schoology: Copy the new assignment links from Classwork.com and paste them into the appropriate assignments in your LMS.

• For Google Classroom: New Classwork assignments will automatically be created in the classes you select during the assignment creation process.

If you need to remove last year’s assignments in Google Classroom, log in and delete them directly from your Classwork stream.

Can I Delete Multiple Assignments? Can I Delete an Entire Folder?

You can archive multiple assignments within the same activity, but Classwork.com does not currently offer a way to archive assignments across multiple activities or to archive all the assignments in a folder at once.
