Lesson Log Overview

Lesson Log Overview

The Lesson Log is where you record the lessons you teach, log the time you spend internalizing the curriculum, and review feedback from your instructional coaches – all aligned to your Texas OER (Bluebonnet™ Learning) curriculum. You’ll find it on the left navigation bar.

Before you start: the Lesson Log needs your Classes set up first – if the page looks empty, that’s why. Classes are required even if they have no students yet. See Sync or Add New Classes (Set Up Classes and Students).

Open the Lesson Log

Click Lesson Log in the left navigation bar. Use the School Year menu in the top right to pick the year you’re logging.

The Three Tabs

The Lesson Log has three tabs across the top.

Lessons

Record the lessons you teach each day. Each of your classes appears as a column, organized into its Modules, Topics, Units, and Lessons, with a quick button to log each one as you teach it.

Internalization

Log the time you spend internalizing the curriculum before you teach – by Module or Topic for Math, and by Unit for RLA.

Observations

Review your most recent observation from your district coaches, including your current action step and microsteps, and browse your previous observations.

Set Up Your Logs

Once your Classes exist, click the green + Set Up Logs button in the top right of the Lesson Log page (it’s also on the setup screen of the Classes page) to add a log for each class. For the full walkthrough, see Setting Up Your Lesson Logs.
