How Do I Add a “Name: ______” Line to the Top of My Assignment? |
Add a Name Line
Classwork.com automatically tracks student names when they open and complete an Assignment, so you do not need to add a “Name” field for identification. Student names will already appear in your submission list.
If you would like to include a “Name: ______” line for visual consistency, you can do that using Teacher Text and a Short Answer box.
Create a “Name” Line Students Can Type In
- Open your Activity in Edit mode.
- In the Tool Box, open the Question Type menu.
- Select Teacher Text.
- Click near the top of your page or slide, then type: Name: ________
- Open the Question Type menu again, then select Short Answer.
- Click and drag to draw the answer box on the line where you want students to type their name.
- Set the points for this question to 0, since student names cannot be auto-scored.
This gives students a place to type their name while keeping your scoring accurate.
