Once you’ve uploaded a background into your Classwork.com Activity, you can’t directly edit it. Classwork captures an image of the page or slide and displays it behind any interactive elements you add on top.

Tools that can help with small edits

While you can’t change the background itself, these tools in Classwork.com can help you make small adjustments:

• Color Block – Draw a rectangle to cover parts of the background you’d like to hide.

• Teacher Text – Add new text to replace or update what’s in the background. This is especially helpful for changing written directions or modifying paper-based content.

• Snipping Tool – Grab and move a section of the background. You can also convert background text into editable Teacher Text blocks, saving you from retyping.

For Larger Edits

If you need to make major changes to the background image or text, edit the original PDF first in a third-party tool such as Adobe Acrobat or SmallPDF, then re-upload the updated file to Classwork.com.
