If you’d like to include an extra credit question in your Activity, assign it 0 points. (see How Do I Change the Point Value of a Question? for details.) This keeps the question from being auto-scored and ensures students aren’t penalized if they skip it.

You’ll assign the extra credit points while reviewing student Submissions:

• Open a Submission.

• Under Score Type, choose Auto + Teacher. This means the total score for the student’s work will include both the auto score and any points you add manually.

• Enter the points awarded and points possible. The values are saved automatically.

• Click Return Submission if you’d like to return the work to the student at this time.
