Canvas - I See Numbers Instead of Student Names |
If you see a long string of numbers or a mix of letters and numbers where student names should appear in your list of Student Submissions, it’s almost always due to the Privacy setting of your Classwork.com app installation within Canvas.
When the Privacy setting is not configured correctly, Canvas sends only the student IDs instead of their names.
To fix this issue, update your Canvas settings so the Privacy option is set to Public. This allows Classwork.com to receive the correct student name information.
