How Can I Include Accommodations for Students? |
If you serve a diverse group of students with different learning needs, Classwork.com provides flexible features that let you modify how students interact with your materials.
Create differentiated versions of an activity
If you’d like to make, for example, an audio-enabled version of an Activity, simply make a copy of the original Activity and add audio to the copy. Then create a separate Assignment for each version and share them with the appropriate groups of students.
See How do I copy an activity? for detailed instructions.
Differentiate using assignment settings
You can also create separate Assignments for the same Activity and adjust the settings for each group based on their needs. Some useful options include:
Students Can Check Answers – Set how many times students can check their answers (including 0 for no checks) before submitting.
Minimum Score to Submit – Require a certain auto-scored percentage before submission. This can encourage practice for some groups while allowing others to submit their best effort.
Student Text Tool – Enable for students who may struggle with standard interactions. They can type explanations or alternate responses.
Drawings Tool – Allow students to write or draw directly on their Submissions. This helps students who have difficulty typing.
Images Tool – Students can take a picture of handwritten responses and upload it.
Audio Tool – Let students record verbal responses or annotations.
Speech to Text Tool – Students can use their voice to enter written responses.
Read Aloud – Students can highlight text, and Classwork.com will read it aloud to them.
