Disconnecting/Reconnecting Google Classroom and Classwork.com |
If you're getting an error when trying to create a Google Classroom assignment in Classwork.com, don’t panic! You can more than likely fix it yourself in just a few simple steps!
The solution to this problem is to clear Google’s memory of Classwork.com. Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Disconnect Classwork.com from Google - not for long, just to reset :)
To disconnect Classwork.com from Google:
In your browser, Click your account icon in the upper right, then "Manage Your Google Account."
Click "Data & privacy" on the left.
Click "Data from apps and services that you use."
Open "Third party apps with account access."
Find and click on "Classwork.com."
Click "Delete all connections you have with Classwork.com".
- Click “Confirm” button when prompted.
At this point, you've severed the ties between Google and TeacherMade.
Step 2: Reconnect TeacherMade and Google
Now, back in TeacherMade, try to create a new Google Classroom assignment from a TeacherMade activity. TeacherMade will prompt you that you haven't granted permissions yet. Click "Retry."
Sign in to your Google account when prompted, and grant TeacherMade permissions to access your Google Classroom data.
Be sure to check ALL of the permissions. Google may not show them quite like this, but make sure the permissions listed here are being granted to Classwork.com.
Click “Continue” at the bottom of the Google dialog.
You should now see the list of students in your Google Classroom class. That indicates you've fixed the problem and will be able to create Google Classroom assignments from now on. Click "My Activities" to return to your My Activities page.
TeacherMade Instructions
If you're a long-time user and had connected under the "TeacherMade" application, repeat the above instructions and find and remove all connections with TeacherMade.
