There’s a new, simpler way to draw answer boxes on your Activity — and it’ll make creating digital work even faster! Take two minutes to check it out; you’ll be glad you did.

The first thing you’ll notice is that we’ve moved the tools that used to live on your toolbar. You’ll now access them by selecting Insert on the toolbar. When you select Insert, a menu appears where you can choose a Question Type or Content Tool, just like before.

But there’s an even better way to make the Question Types and Content Tools appear right on your Activity. Just click and drag your mouse where you want to insert something—like a short answer—and voilà! Select Short Answer from the pop-up menu. Try experimenting with a few different Question Types to get a feel for it.

This new method is more intuitive and will help you digitize Activities even more quickly than before. All of your favorite tools are still there and work the same as always — we’ve just done some spring cleaning to make things clearer and less cluttered.

Helpful Tips

• When you add a tool with multiple options (such as multiple choice), the pop-up uses a default number of options. After inserting it, you can change the number of options. Classwork.com will remember your last choice the next time you insert that Question Type.

• Spacebar shortcut: Automatically sets you up to insert another of the same item you just added.

• Ctrl+D shortcut: Duplicates any selected item. Use it once or ten times — each copy will keep the same size and shape.

• Double-click an item to open its editor and change the number of options or edit available answers. Be careful not to double-click over a clickable part (like the “True” button in a true/false item). A quick tip: make sure your cursor looks like this before double-clicking:
